Review 1:
For the price, this wine cooler absolutely rocks! We paid $149 plus shipping. It arrived quickly.

A few people have commented that they can't find this unit at the Black and Decker home page. I can't either. However, when it arrived, I noticed one of the labels on the shipping box was from the Haier corporation, which makes me think this a rebranded Haier product.

When we received the unit, we noticed that three of the corners of the shipping case were reinforced with L-shaped pieces of cardboard. When we opened the shipping case we discovered that the corner that had not been protected was a bit dented. However, this was a back corner and not easily seen, so we decided to just keep the cooler and not hassle anyone about it. More than one person has commented on dented units. I hope Haier and Black and Decker wake up and reinforce all four corners.

The unit is very attractive. My wife wouldn't mind having in the kitchen or dining room. Instead, it is in one of our guest rooms.

The unit will hold 32 bottles. BUT - the spacing is very tight on the bottles. Forget champagne style bottles, they are too big. A thin glass 750ml bottle is as big as you can put in easily. If you cram in a 750ml bottle with thick glass, it will be a matter of cramming it in, and chances are good you'll tear the wine bottle's label. It helps to turn the bottle to make sure the label does not come in contact with the bottle rack above your bottle.

If you really want to put in larger bottles, you'll need to remove some of the wine racks. I'd suggest removing the bottom wire rack in the top compartment. You might be able to slip 7 bottles of champagne there where Black and Decker had intended you to put 8 smaller bottles.

The light in the cooler is cute, but not all that useful. When the unit is full of wine bottles, the wine bottles keep the light from reaching the bottom bottles.

The control panel is easy to use, but the blue LED's are a bit bright. If we have guests in that room, we'll probably cover the front panel with a towel to block the light. A dimmer on the display would be been a good thing, but there is a limit to what they can include for $149.

What I REALLY like is that the unit has a compressor free thermo-electric cooler so it is virtually vibration free, it keeps your wine at the right temperatures, and the price can't be beat!

Despite the size issue, I am very happy with the Black and Decker wine cooler and may well order aother one!

Review 2:
It was exactly what I needed, arrived on time and is a great value for the price. Looks great in the corner of my dining room!

Review 3:
Equipment arrived damaged and it took over a week before a replacement was considered. It finally was replaced the following weeks(2weeks).

Review 4:
great for the price
room may be tight if you really want to stick in "32" bottles give some bottles (lie champagne) have larger body than others.
the item arrived with a dent on the side. doesn't affect use but a bummer.

Review 5:
We were surprised at the style and quality of the B&D wine storage cabinet. It far exceeded our expectations for a product in this price range. We decided it could happily live in our dining area rather than be relegated to the garage as we had planned.
It was easy to set up and took only a couple of hours to bring the two sections to the set temperatures.
However the size of the wine sections is really tight and only takes a standard shape bottle. Unfortunately many wine bottles in our collection are too fat to fit. This was a major drawback and makes the 32 bottle claim a little misleading.

Review 6:
My experience with Price Pro's may be unusual - but, it took several weeks to get the final working product. Our first order arrived damaged. After a few emails to Amazon, Price Pros, and UPS, it was arranged for the product to be picked up and exchanged. Not sure Price Pros and UPS ever got on the same page - regardless...after about 2 weeks, we received an undamaged fridge. However, it fits far fewer than 32 bottles - the bar shape and spacing fits more slender bottles. Fatter bottles, like champagne size, do not fit well. The bottom of the fridge has grooves versus flat bottom. We like to use our wine fridge for soda's and bottled water. They fit, it just has deep grooves - fyi.

Temp range is okay....wish it could get a little colder. Front panel is easy to use. The blue glow is pretty bright, so probably best to not have where guests will be sleeping.

Price was reasonble - that was the biggest draw. And, Price Pros did deliver within the stated time frame...though it was damaged the first time. Again - this may have been unusual for them.

Customer Reviews

Review 1:
I couldn't find any reviews on this particular item from Cuisinart, so it looks like I may be the first. There appeared to be a lot of dissatisfaction with their 8-space single temperature unit, so I opted to spend more to get extra bottle space and go for the dual zone. I've had it for three weeks now and it's perfect for my needs and is working beautifully. I drink mostly cabernets and sav blancs, so those bottle styles fit without scraping. I have a chardonnay bottle that I had to turn around and place head first so the bottom of the bottle is what's showing, but at least it works. It is quiet - if you lean in closely, you can hear a soft whirring fan, but otherwise, quiet as a mouse. It is placed on a countertop of a built-in unit in my small condo living room, so it's in a pretty open space and has room to breathe. There is a drip-tray that slides in the bottom and I've checked for water and haven't seen any. It chilled quickly - I have the white zone set to 40 and the red zone set to 63 and am very happy with the temperature feel of the bottles and the wine when I remove and serve. It looks really cool at night with the lights on, but I mostly keep them off. Lastly, I do use a Vacu-Vin cork sometimes and have found that I'm able to re-seal a bottle, place in the unit and close the door. (The Vacu-Vin cork adds length to the bottle, but the glass in the doors is mounted so that there's room.) If I come up with anything else, I'll update this review, but I have to say I'm happy with my purchase and having fun keeping it stocked!

Review 2:
Our first purchase of this wine cellar and it didnt even turn on, returned no problems with Amazon. Second try and it works, it looks great but thats about the best of it.
It depends on the outside temperature, so in winter the red wine is not warm enough and in summer the white wine is not cold enough. We'd say if you really like your wine at the right temperature just spend the money and get a proper one.
